About Affordable Foods Gainsborough: Established in October 2017 by a group of local residents who had been regular users of their local Super Kitchen. They saw a model, based on abundance, where surplus foods and locally grown foods could be made available to all whilst supporting those most in need and reducing the negative impacts on the environment. Affordable Food Gainsborough has just celebrated three years of trading and, with the support of external funding, is expected to transition into a community owned social business.

About Affordable Nottingham: Priding itself on being Nottingham’s finest surplus shopping experience. It goes well beyond foods and essential household goods through partnerships to sell surplus clothing, records, CD’s, books and much more! It caterers to everyone but specialises in vegetarian, vegan and gluten free goods that can be so expensive in regular shops. The social lounge area is more focused on community learning, creativity and the arts with small groups using the dedicated space for book clubs, mental health peer support, therapeutic arts and individual support.
