Affordable Foods Gainsborough was established in October 2017 by a group of local residents who had been regular users of their local Super Kitchen. They saw a model, based on abundance, where surplus foods and locally grown foods could be made available to all whilst supporting those most in need and reducing the negative impacts on the environment.
Affordable Foods Gainsborough has just celebrated 5 years of trading and, with the support of external funding, is expected to transition into a community owned social business.
